After his third time in Brazil, Miles went straight to the Portuguese league

Miles (no. 7) in action for the Futsalroos

Miles Downie, who has played several times for the Australian Futsal National Team, concluded successfully his third exchange program in Brazil. He stayed with Minas Tênis Clube (One of the best Brazilian National League teams) for two months. His performance with the Futsalroos and also during his exchange program in Belo Horizonte called the attention of some managers. He happened to be offered a trial in Portugal and was offered a contract to play at the Portuguese National League!!!
Learning Portuguese was one of the things that helped him to achieve this objective.
