Ron Beaumont calls it a day

Beaumont was the key figure in the organisation of the current refereeing system that was put in place at Football NSW as he strived for excellence in getting all NSW based referees in order, which he did ever so well in.
Throughout Beaumont?s time, he saw many talented whistleblowers develop into top class officials such as the likes of Matthew Breeze and Simon Pryzdacz to name a few.
Football NSW would like to acknowledge Ron on the tremendous things he achieved during his time as head of referees as his presence around the office will be sorely missed.
In a touching farewell speech at Football NSW headquarters on Friday, Beaumont vowed that he?d still stay in touch with the game and with all referees.
?I?ll still be around for advice from time to time, obviously at a lesser capacity then before but football was my life and will still be even now that I?ve left, I?ll be keeping a close eye on how things go as I know that there are a number of terrific up and coming referees set to break through really soon,? he concluded.
