Division One Youth League Round 10 Review
This may yet prove to be the best ever year for the third tier of Youth League competition.
The Club Championship
Blacktown Spartans continue to lead the way on the table even though the took only six points from their visit to fourth placed Fraser Park while Gladesville Ryde Magic retained second spot thanks to the nine points they earned at last placed Stanmore Hawks.
Camden Tigers remained at third after they bagged ten points away to Hills United who have slipped back one place to eleventh and Sydney University are still fifth after they earned nine points from their trip to Rockdale City Suns who have dropped back one place to tenth.
Hurstville City Minotaurs moved up a spot to sixth when they generated eight points from their games at Mt Druitt Town Rangers who went back from sixth to seventh even though they picked up thirteen points from their Round 4 catch-up matches with Stanmore Hawks. Hakoah climbed two places to ninth thanks to their haul of thirteen points at home to eighth placed Springwood.
Grade 13
Gladesville Ryde Magic are still the competition leaders after they came up with a 2-0 win over last placed Stanmore Hawks and Sydney University are a point behind the frontrunners following their 3-0 result over tenth placed Rockdale City Suns.
Blacktown Spartans climbed up a place to third with a rock solid 5-0 win over fifth placed Fraser Park while Camden Tigers slipped back a spot to fourth on goal difference when they were 1-0 winners over ninth placed Hills United.
Hurstville City Minotaurs jumped up one place to sixth with a 1-0 victory over eleventh placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers who drew 0-0 with Stanmore Hawks in Round 4 catch-up action on Sunday. Eighth placed Hakoah were 1-0 winners over Springwood who fell back one place to seventh.
Grade 14
Fraser Park took over the competition lead by a point with a 4-0 win over Blacktown Spartans who fell from first to third while Hurstville City Minotaurs zoomed from fourth to second thanks to their 3-0 victory over Mt Druitt Town Rangers who have dropped back one place to fourth despite Sunday?s 2-1 win over Stanmore Hawks in Round 4 catch-up action.
Camden Tigers stayed at fifth following their 1-0 result over ninth placed Hills United and Gladesville Ryde Magic are three points further back at sixth after they went down 3-0 to Stanmore Hawks who have climbed one place to tenth.
Sydney University are still seventh after they were 3-0 winners over Rockdale City Suns who dropped from tenth to eleventh and Springwood remained at eighth following their scoreless draw with last placed Hakoah.
Grade 15
Blacktown Spartans held onto the competition lead even though they suffered their first loss for the campaign when they were beaten 4-1 by second placed Fraser Park and now the gap between the teams stands at two points. Two points further adrift are third placed Hurstville City Minotaurs who were held to a scoreless draw by Mt Druitt Town Rangers who have climbed two places to sixth thanks to their 2-0 win over Stanmore Hawks in Sunday?s Round 4 catch-up game.
Hakoah are still fourth after they were 2-0 winners over Springwood who slipped back two places to ninth and Camden Tigers retained fifth position with a 1-0 win over Hills United who dropped from ninth to eleventh.
Sydney University dropped a place to seventh when they were beaten 1-0 by Rockdale City Suns who are one place better off this week at tenth and Gladesville Ryde Magic went from tenth to eighth when they won 4-0 over last placed Stanmore Hawks.
Grade 16
Mt Druitt Town Rangers are three points clear at the top of the table thanks to their 1-1 draw with fourth placed Hurstville City Minotaurs and their 2-1 victory on Sunday over second placed Stanmore Hawks. Fraser Park are two points back in third place following their 2-0 success over Blacktown Spartans who have dropped out of the top five to be placed sixth.
Rockdale City Suns moved up two places to fifth with a 4-0 win over Sydney University who dropped from eighth to ninth and Gladesville Ryde Magic fell back one place to seventh when they went down 4-1 to Stanmore Hawks.
Eight placed Sp[Ringwood suffered a 2-0 loss to Hakoah who have moved up one place to tenth while Hills United came up with a 2-0 result over Camden Tigers that has caused the teams to swap places at the foot of the table.
Grade 18
Gladesville Ryde Magic lead the way on the table by seven points after they posted a 5-0 scoreline over Stanmore Hawks who fell back one place to ninth and Camden Tigers are second following their 2-2 draw with Hills United who moved up a place to eighth.
Mt Druitt Town Rangers are still third after they won 5-0 over eleventh placed Hurstville City Minotaurs and then they beat Stanmore Hawks in Round 4 catch-up action on Sunday. Blacktown Spartans retained fourth spot with a 4-2 result over seventh placed Fraser Park.
Sydney University are sitting in fifth position after they were 3-0 winners over sixth placed Rockdale City Suns while Hakoah climbed up one place to tenth with a 3-0 scoreline over last placed Springwood.
