Sydney FC searches for the next generation of football stars

Forty (40) young players from around the greater Sydney area were hand selected to line up at the trials, and this week they hit the field for the first time.
Youth Team Coach, Steve O?Connor says he was impressed by the level of football ability demonstrated by the players during their first hit-out, and he?s confident Sydney will end up with a strong squad.
The Youth League hopefuls will have more chances to impress over the coming month, with FC to continue trialling players for the next 3 to 4 weeks, before beginning the process of trimming the team.
The  National Youth League kicks off on September 28, and will be run parallel to the 2008/09 Hyundai A-League.
