Canterbury Association President, Frank Parisi, attended the training session as a guest of the team and took along some junior players to meet their football stars.
Harry Kewel and other members of the Socceroo squad met and chatted with the local players.
All showed a genuine interest in the young players interests, where they were from and which teams they played for.
Pim Verbeek, Socceroo head honcho, spoke with Parisi about grass-roots football during the visit.
Verbeek expressed his keenness to see football in Australia progress not only at an international level but all levels starting with grass-roots and Association football.
The experience was enjoyed by all who attended.
