Under clear blue winter skies the “Berries 4 Kids” Fundraising Committee comprising of Board of Directors George Ronis, Nickolas Varvaris, Chris Mitrothanasis and club CEO Laki Konistis paid a special visit to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead to hand over the final cheque which comprised the monies raised by the charity- in total $32,050.00.
A fabulous result and one which would never have been achieved without the tremendous contribution of the “Berries 4 Kids” major sponsor, the Bankstown Sports Club.
“It would be amiss of us not to highlight the tremendous commitment to our dream by Bankstown Sports”, club CEO Laki Konistis said.
“Bankstown Sports has yet again proven itself to be a truly wonderful, caring, community club dedicated towrads working in the best interests of the wider community.
“Congratulations to them and we hope that our 2009 fundraising endeavours for the sick and disadvantaged children in our community will also be hand-in-hand yet again with Bankstown Sports”.
