Ilija Prenzoski and Balla Conde had the Wolves 2-0 up at the break and despite a fight-back mounted by Sydney United in the second-half with chances falling to Luka Glavas and Mark Robertson, Wollongong FC added a third to cut-off any hope Ivan Petkovic?s men may have had.
Matthew Bailey added the third 18? minutes from the end, ensuring a dramatic finish in the Premiership race with two more Rounds remaining.
Sydney United on the other-hand remain in the Top-Five though have A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers very close behind pressuring for a finals berth.
