Bazdaric grabbed a 16 minute, second half hatrick, scoring in the 56th, 65th and 72nd minutes of the match. Smutek helped himself to a brace of goals on 25 and 88 minutes, whilst the other goals for the Tigers came from Spain (6?), Norton (10?), Macdonald (35?) and Garzotto (78?).
White City put an end to Sydney Cedars mathematical chances of making the finals with a 4-0 drubbing at Calabria Sports Ground. But it took over an hour for them to break the resilient Cedars, and Kabbara was the first to score on 69 minutes. Stivala made it 2-0 just five minutes later, before Llandrelli scored the third on 83 minutes. Robinson rounded off the goals for White City, making it four in the final minute of the match.
The win has all but confirmed White City?s spot in the semi finals, as they play Greenisland in next week?s final round.
Third placed Hakoah will need a miracle if they are to snatch second spot, needing to win all their remaining matches and hope one of the top two teams fall at the last hurdle.
Their match with Gazy Lansvale at E.S.Marks Field was postponed due to the wet weather downpour overnight on Saturday.
In the final match of the round, Colo Colo Wanderers jumped their opponents on the ladder by beating Lilli Pilli 4-1 at Seymour Shaw on Sunday afternoon.
But they had to come from behind to do the job, Karim scoring for Lilli Pilli after 27 minutes. Sanhueza equalized for Colo Colo just four minutes later, and that?s the way it stayed until the second half.
Colo Colo then scored three goals in as many minutes, Escolante putting them in front on 71 minutes, and top scorer Navarrete getting in on the act with goals in the 72nd and 74th minutes.
Fairfield Bulls had the weekend off courtesy of the bye.
