Tsekenis extends his stay with the Bankstown City Lions

After weeks of speculation that the hard tackling defender was set to make the move from Jensen Park which in Tsekenis? words was ?utter nonsense?, came the news that he had come to terms with the club?s management and President Alex Subevski.
?I have agreed to my second-year in what was a two-year contract which I had originally accepted.
?Now things have been put in place so I can go about fixing what went wrong for next season and start the rebuilding process in obtaining and re-signing players for 2009.
?At the moment we want to finish off the TeleChoice Premier League strongly and then concentrate on taking out the 2008 Tiger Turf Cup.?
Subevski was happy that Tsekenis decided to take up his second-year option with the club.
?Peter has done tremendously well with the club throughout his years as both a player and coach.
?I know we had a rough year this season but I am confident things will change in 2009.
?Right now, I am wishing Peter and the boys the best of luck in getting towards holding the Tiger Turf Cup next weekend.?
Tsekenis has gone down in the Bankstown City Lions history books as being one of the longest serving coaches with 2009 set to be his fifth year in the hot-seat.
