Rastall and Foxe unsure about future with Stallions

The former National League giants struggled early in the season and really only showed in patches their true colours.
Kane Rastall and Damien Foxe, 30 and 33 years of age respectively, are two players who openly admit their disappointment with season 2008.
The former Blacktown City Demons duo have now completed two seasons each at Marconi and their expectations, in short, were a lot higher.
?It was a very disappointing season because we had high hopes at the start of the year,? Rastall stated. ?Things haven?t panned out like we would have liked, but there?s always next year I suppose.?
Foxe, who spent most of the season on the sidelines due to injury, was also disappointed with the final standing of the Stallions on the TeleChoice Premier League ladder.
?At the start of the year we looked at the team and we had a couple of experienced players and some promising young boys,? he said.
?However, with a few injuries, the season hasn?t gone as expected and I feel that the young boys probably haven?t performed as well as we thought they would have.
?We?ll probably have to look again [in the off season and decide] whether we pick more experienced players or go with youth.?
So what does the future hold for both of these players? Rastall is off contract and Foxe is still coming to terms with his back injury.
?I am off contract here now and, depending on which coach comes in and what the club?s plans are, we?ll see about my future in the next few weeks and we?ll talk about it then,? Rastall said
His teammate Foxe added: ?I have another few weeks to see what happens with my back.
?At this stage it is 50/50 to see whether I?ll play again. If all is okay, then it just comes down to me and the club.
?If they [Marconi] are going to employ me here again or whether I?ll need to go elsewhere will be decided later and so we?ll see what happens.?
