Young Hawks Fly high as Hawksbury Crowned Reserve Grade Champions

It wouldn?t be the Hawks to do it easily either, because they came from 0-1 down to score twice in the final minutes and snatch the championship.
Ilaqua got Gladesville off to a great start with a goal on 24 minutes, and in a tense affair, Magic thought they had it won as the minutes counted down towards the final whistle.
But Hawkesbury had written a different script, and they kept going and going, despite being reduced to ten men and having their coach sent off with about twenty minutes remaining.
Man-of-the-match Cotter gave the Hawkes some life with an equalizer in the 85th minute, and just as referee Mr.I.Fouda was checking his watch, up popped Ward to grab a last ditch winner and send the Hawks fans into delirium.
Congratulations to both teams for making the grand final, and a special applause for Hawkesbury City, who definitely did it the hard way, being unbeaten over the past fourteen games, and winning sudden death matches over the past four weeks to be crowned 2008 Conference League Reserve Grade Champions!
