Chipping Norton Girls chase the ultimate prize

These finals are the climax of the Football NSW Community Football season and the eighteen finals to be staged will attract large numbers of spectators and players all hoping for their ultimate prize, Champion of Champions.
The 2008 season has been one to remember for the Chipping Norton Under 16 Girls team.
After success in the Colo Girls Challenge and Football NSW Harry Williams Cup earlier this year the girls from the south western suburbs now find themselves chasing the ultimate prize; a win in the Final of the MBF Champion of Champions tournament.
Good wins over Beacon Hill and Bathurst Collegians in the Quarter Final/Semi Final respectively have the Chipping Norton side confident of a strong showing against Springwood in the Final at Valentine Park on the 26th October.
Chipping Norton Coach Ross Anderson says that he is proud of the team?s achievements in 2008. He is hopeful that the girls can create a touch of club history by being the first Chipping Norton girls? team to win a Champion of Champion tournament.
?Springwood are a fine side. They will be very hard to beat in the Final but the Chippo girls will give it their best shot. It would be a fitting end to a dream season if the girls could come away with a win? said the Coach.
Chipping Norton Soccer Club is part of the Southern Districts Association. The club had 45 teams playing in the 2008 season ranging from Nursery to All Age. In 2007 both the Chipping Norton Under 14 Girls and Under 16 Girls won the FNSW State Cup. The club has a fine reputation for its support of female soccer within the Southern Districts Association.
The Chipping Norton side have proven themselves worthy finalists and it should be a great Under 16 Girls Final no matter which way you look at it.
The Final Day proceedings will commence at 8.30am and the last match will kick off at 5.30pm.
Parking is always at a premium, due to the large crowds on the day and everyone is urged to take this into consideration and arrange early arrival to ensure nothing is missed on this very important day.
Valentine Sports Park is an alcohol free venue and NO ALCOHOL will be permitted in any are of the complex at any time during the MBF Champion of Champions Finals.
