Fair Play Award 2008 ? Mr. Brendon Bright

Brendon won the award in recognition of his honesty and fair play in notifying his Association of an error he noticed when checking the qualifying tables just prior to his U14 girls team playing the semi-finals.  His honesty resulted in his team withdrawing from the semi finals to make way for the correct eligible team.
Brendon is only a young coach and in the opinion of the Granville Association and Football NSW, to do what he did took courage, honesty and above all fair play.   The award was presented to Brendon by the 1974 World Cup Socceroo?s Coach Rale Rasic and President of Football NSW, Jim Forrest.
