Bankstown City Lions gear up for 2009

Player/Manager Peter Tsekenis has kept the majority of his 2008 squad but has signed two important players for its push towards taking out the Premiership.
Former A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers midfielder Ian King and ex-Marconi Stallions striker Tallan Martin have both agreed to terms with Tsekenis? squad.
King has been known for being a tough tackling midfielder while Martin, a former Bankstown player, is hoping that his return to the squad will rekindle his scoring spirits.

Former Bankstown City Lions striker Sam Mort has also returned to the club from a stint in the Super League with FC Bossy Liverpool but Tsekenis has lost Tayfun Devrimol to the Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
