Sun shines over Bicentennial Park development in Rockdale
In 2009, Rockdale City Suns? plans to move into a new home ground located at Bicentennial Park Rockdale with construction well underway.
The relocation will see both the seniors and juniors unite at Bicentennial Park East and South respectively.
Stage 2 of the relocation project will see the addition of superior floodlighting and the construction of a grandstand to ensure the new facility meets the necessary criteria established by Football NSW for admission into the state’s premier competition, the TeleChoice Premier League.
Suns club secretary Louie Belevski was eagerly anticpating the conclusion of the Bicentennial Park development.
“We are looking at 3-4 weeks before everything is complete and is ready to hand-over so things are getting very exciting at the club and around the area,” Belevski stated to Football NSW.
On the playing front with the Super League commencing next week, new Suns coach Mile Todoroski has pumped up his chargers for what will be an exciting year.
The club has signed Askin Oygur, Saso Trajcevski, Adem Kir, David Wilson, Ivan Kovacevic, Angelo Kosmatos, Robert Di Meglio Sam Award, Kurt Crnic, Goran Popovski, Nicholas Polimenakos and Mirza Sehic for 2009.
