The Youth League Report (Division One Youth League) Round 8
The tables have reached a stage at which the next few weeks could make or break the season for a number of teams in each age group.
Club Championship
Fraser Park moved to the top of the table on goal difference after they grabbed all the points from their clash with Gladesville Ryde Magic who have dropped two places to eleventh while Camden Tigers are second following their haul of nine points at Sydney University who have fallen from first to third.
Rockdale City Suns are still in fourth position thanks to the eight points they earned from their visit to fifth placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers and Hurstville City Minotaurs have stayed at sixth after they split the points at seven apiece with twelfth placed Hills Brumbies.
Stanmore Hawks held onto seventh position even though they earned only four points from St George who used their ten points share to move up one place to ninth while Hakoah flew from eleventh to eighth when they took all the points from their visit to Springwood who slipped back two places to tenth.
Grade13
While the leaders have established a break there still only five points separating the top three teams then another six points covers the next five teams. That only confirms that there is still so very much to play for.
Fraser Park have cleared out to a lead of four points after they registered a 1-0 win over Gladesville Ryde Magic who fell back two places to eleventh while Rockdale City Suns remained in second place following their scoreless draw with third placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers.
Hills Brumbies climbed one place to fourth with a 2-1 victory over Hurstville City Minotaurs who slipped back a place to seventh and Camden Tigers rose from seventh to fifth when they were 1-0 winners over Sydney University who dropped two places to sixth.
Eighth placed Springwood suffered a 1-0 loss to Hakoah who have moved up one position to tenth and St George have risen from tenth to ninth with a 3-0 result over twelfth placed Stanmore Hawks.
Grade 14
A margin of three points covers to top three teams and then four points separates the next six sides so who could blame any of them for being just a bit twitchy about each and every match over the next few weeks.
Camden Tigers are still one point clear at the top of the table even though they lost 2-1 to Sydney University who have jumped one place to fifth while Fraser Park moved up one spot to second when they were 2-0 winners over tenth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic.
Stanmore Hawks slipped back to third after they lost 1-0 to ninth placed St George and Mt Druitt Town Rangers tumbled back three places to eighth when they lost 3-0 to Rockdale City Suns who moved up two places to seventh.
Hakoah went from seventh to sixth with a 2-0 success over eleventh placed Springwood while Hurstville City Minotaurs retained fourth place when they won 3-0 over twelfth placed Hills Brumbies.
Grade 15
There could well be a large number of changes to the look of this table over the next few weeks when you consider that there are only four points separating the top four teams and then the next six positions are covered by a blanket of only five points.

Camden Tigers moved up two places to fifth when they posted a 3-1 victory over Sydney University who fell back one place to sixth and tenth placed Hakoah won 3-1 over Springwood who slipped back a place to seventh.
Grade 16
With only eight points separating the top eight teams there is a lot to play for every time each of the teams takes the field of play. Success brings rewards but a slip-up could cause major dramas.
Sydney University continue to lead the way on the table but their margin was cut to three points after Camden Tigers beat them 4-2, an outcome that helped the Tigers to rise two positions to sixth while Hakoah retained second spot when they were 2-0 winners over eleventh placed Springwood.
Stanmore Hawks held onto third position following their scoreless draw with fourth placed St George and Fraser Park moved up one place to fifth when they recorded a 2-0 win over Gladesville Ryde Magic who slipped back two places to seventh.
Hurstville City Minotaurs dropped one place to eighth after they were held to a 1-1 draw by twelfth placed Hills Brumbies who were earning their first point for the season. Mt Druitt Town Rangers remained at ninth following their 1-1 draw with tenth placed Rockdale City Suns.
Grade18
The leaders have established a healthy break but then the next seven teams are covered by a blanket of only eight points so there is bound to be a great deal of interest in every result for at least the next few weeks.
Sydney University have extended their competition lead to six points after they were 2-1 winners over second placed Camden Tigers while Mt Druitt Town Rangers are third following their 5-1 victory over ninth placed Rockdale City Suns.
Fraser Park remained at fourth when they posted a 2-1 result over Gladesville Ryde Magic who dropped back one place to sixth and St George climbed into fifth position with a 1-0 win over tenth placed Stanmore Hawks.
Seventh placed Hills Brumbies were 1-0 winners over twelfth placed Hurstville City Minotaurs and eighth placed Hakoah defeated eleventh placed Springwood 2-1.
