The home-side will be confident despite their 5-3 loss away to the Roosters last Sunday. Penang will have to be wary of their opposition as Bathurst are in some good form and will be looking to seal all three points with home advantage on their side. Penang FC have yet to record a win for the season and are still chasing that all important three-points to keep away from bottom spot.
Prospect United and Roosters FC clash on Saturday at William Lawson Reserve in what will be the match of the round. The clash should provide some entertaining football as both sides have displayed a class of football which has seen both teams reap rewards thus far. This game will be an important home game for Brian Vella?s men who will look to hold top-spot before the finals series begin. However, last time these two teams met the Roosters showed brilliant form and, ever since, have been outclassing their opponents week-in week-out.
Springwood will face a tough home game on Saturday evening when they meet Hurstville City at Summerhayes Park. Springwood, yet to win a game this season, will be hoping they can gain some momentum to keep themselves away from the bottom two-spots on the ladder. Hurstville are in fantastic form and will be hoping to continue their winning ways. Hurstville have had a productive season and have shown qualities which could see them prosper come finals time.
Hakoah will host Gladesville Ryde at E.S Marks Field on Sunday at 3.00pm, the home-side won 2-0 away to Penang last Saturday and will look for form when they tackle the Gladesville giants. The away side thrashed Springwood 4-0 last Sunday and are back to the form that saw them on that amazing winning streak. Hakoah will have the home advantage but Gladesville will prove a tough test for the home-side.
Hawkesbury entertain Fairfield Bulls at Benson Lane Field on Saturday afternoon, both sides will be eager on victory as both are in need of crucial points. The Bulls have shown some good in recent weeks meanwhile Hawkesbury, at home. will provide the ultimate test. Hawkesbury have played well in the past weeks and will need to make sure their finishing is strong come this Saturday if they are to have any chance of clinching maximum points.
Sydney Cedars have shown outstanding form in 2009 and they can continue their run when they meet Gazy Lansvale on Sunday at Punchbowl Oval. Gazy picked up a courageous win against Luddenham last weekend and will be hoping to improve their efforts in this clash. However, the Cedars are a good side and have shown quality and consistency in 2009, this game will prove a crucial test for the Gazy side that are chasing those consecutive wins.
Camden Tigers and White City will clash on Sunday at Ron Dine Reserve. It should provide an entertaining clash with White City finally showing good form. Camden has been outstanding in 2009 and with the home advantage on Sunday White City will need to be at their best if they want to gain a good result. Camden has been a side capable of going all the way as they have shown the quality and capabilities to win away from home, which is important for a side searching to land the ultimate prize come end of season.
Luddenham and Colo Colo face off at Luddenham Oval on Sunday 3.00pm, the home-side coming off a 1-0 loss to Gazy last Sunday. The away side are a strong team and will be looking for that all important three-points. it will be a test for the home-side as coach Andrew Montgomery has stressed that his side needs to improve their finishing in front of goal if they want results.
