Sydney Olympic appoint Pat Marando as new first grade coach
Nick Theodorakopoulos had taken the reigns as first grade coach part way through the season to help the Club after the departure of Aytek Genc.
The Club gave Nick first right of refusal for the 1st grade position in 2010 however, commitments with his business Majestic Travel have forced him to decline the offer.
The Club would like to extend its utmost appreciation for Nick Theodorakopoulos for his help both on and off the park over the past year. Sydney Olympic is a club he has served as a player, director and coach and holds dearly to his heart thus having offered to remain close to the Club and help wherever possible.
The board unanimously selected Pat Marando as Nick?s successor to lead the team in 2010. Pat has led the Under 20s to 3 successive finals appearances and successive grand finals as well as winning the minor premiership last season.
Pat also acted as the first grade assistant coach last season and at times this season. His passion for the club and ability to bring talented youngsters to the club to add to the core group of senior players hold him in good stead for the upcoming season.
