Project 22 Kick’s Off

Over 1,200 children (U9 ? U12) from across the Sydney metropolitan area participated in what is a revolutionary event for player development.
Football NSW High Performance Unit Manager Paul Bentvelzen was overcome with the positive reaction by parents as well as impressed with the emerging and exciting talent demonstrated by participants.
?The response by participants for Project 22 was very overwhelming and I was extremely satisfied with the level of talent and skill displayed by these youngsters.
?It certainly has set the standard for next week?s batch of trials for the older segment of Project 22 participants.?
Endorsed by Football Federation Australia (FFA), Project 22 seeks to identify the best players in the 9-14 age group across NSW, aiming to lay down the foundations required to give the best youth footballers in the state the highest chance possible to succeed at the elite level as adult footballers.
Based on the National Curriculum launched by the FFA, Project 22 is centred on Football NSW being able to exceed world best practice in providing an elite competition and training environment for our future national team players.
Project 22 trials will continue next weekend.
