Canterbury & District Soccer Football Association open new offices

At the official opening the CDSFA was joined by Ms Linda Burney MP and Ms Virginia Judge MP. Ms.Burney had assisted the CDSFA with its Community Building Partnership Program grant application.
During the evening the CDSFA President, Frank Parisi thanked Ms. Burney for her assistance with our funding application.
Mr. Parisi also thanked local Mayors, Cr.Ted Cassidy (Ashfield), Cr. John Sidoti (Burwood) & Cr. Tony Maroun (Strathfield) for attending the evening.
Also present on the evening was the President of Football NSW, Mr. Jim Forrest, the General Manager of Football NSW, Mr. Ian Holmes (also a Life Member of the CDSFA). Sydney FC was represented by Mr. Stefan Kamasz, Head of Football.
The twenty three (23) Clubs that form the CDSFA were also represented by their Presidents and Secretaries on the night. For the first time in a lot of years six of the CDSFA Life Members were able to get together. They were Ian Holmes, Ray Webb, Grace Martin, Malcolm Jenner, Charles Tama and Ron Royston. Albert Stein and Vince Laws were unable to attend on the night.
The Pratten Park Bowling Club was represented by their President, Reg Wood and Treasurer, June Bowden. The Bowling Club and the CDSFA will work hard to ensure the Pratten Park precinct remains a viable community asset.
Ms. Burney congratulated the CDSFA for establishing its first fulltime office in her electorate and wished all the Clubs the best for the upcoming football season.
She also thanked the Clubs for the work they do in the community on a weekly basis.
