?It takes time to get a side to gel together but I knew we had a good set of players and would slowly get better as the season wore on but we have got off to a far better start than I could have hoped for.
?We will at some stage suffer a few ups and downs but I am ecstatic with the way we have handled ourselves in the league so far and the style of football we are playing and have tried to introduce which is the passing game that is not only attractive but has proven effective.?
With this surprise, pleasant as it may be for the club, has he noticed any other surprises this season?
?I?ve been not so much surprised but applaud the South Coast Wolves for the way they are playing at the moment and they have been unlucky in a couple of matches that could have gone their way.
?They are playing a good style of football and they should improve their position if they continue like that.
?Manly United, Sydney Olympic and others have had an up and down start, not like them, so I expect them to move up the table and the main surprise so far is that any one of eight sides could go on to the title which is a far more open competition this year than in previous ones which can only be good for the fans and the game.?
Credit is also paid to the officials at Bonnyrigg which Brown states: ?The club has been brilliant since we came here and hopefully we can repay their faith in us as they have made it very easy for us to progress so rapidly.
?Club officials never get a lot of praise but they do a terrific job.?
Although many pundits tip for the title this season, does this weigh heavily on Brown and his charges? ?Not at all.
?If others see us in that light it is their opinion and this game is all about opinions but nothing is won this early into a season.
?If we are there at the end then it will prove them right but we will just look to the next game each week and see what happens.?
Always amiable, always a pleasure to speak with and someone you know will always have a big say in what happens come the finish so will the White Eagles lift the trophy?
We?ll all have to wait and see.
