Manly United “devastated” by Zabaks injury

Zabaks was involved in a collision with Manly United midfielder Jimmy Oates midway through the second half and later tests revealed a blood clot on the brain which required emergency surgery.
Moss said everyone at Manly United wished Zabaks a speedy and full recovery.
?When something like this happens it puts things into perspective and the result means nothing compared with the wellbeing of a player and we wish Phil all the very best for a speedy and full recovery,? Moss said.
?My players, coaching staff and officials are all devastated by what has happened and young Jimmy in particular is distraught. There was no malice whatsoever in the challenge, he was at full speed and received a nudge in the back so there was no way he could change direction or get out of the way.
?We just want to wish Phil, his new wife Brooke and all their family the very best. We are thinking of them at this time.
?I?m also very appreciative of the fact that Brooke, Brian Brown, Cliffy Pointer and George Mandic from Bonnyrigg have kept us updated on Phil?s progress.?
