State League One Round 10 Preview

The Scorpions have been inconsistent of late, winning just the one match in the last five, but have managed to hold onto their top five spot and currently sit fourth on 15 points.
The Spartans are looking more and more like the biggest threat to Hills Brumbies at the top, undefeated after nine rounds and boasting the best attack in the competition with 27 goals, averaging 3 goals per game.
Given some player movement between the clubs during the off season, this promises to be a clash full of emotion, so expect some thrills and spills, and plenty of goalmouth action in this six pointer.
Two teams in equal fifth position will clash at Cook Park as Mounties Wanderers welcome Stanmore Hawks.
The home side will be smarting from two successive losses to the competition?s top two sides, and will be hoping the support of their own fans and the familiarity of their home ground can help drive a victory against a tricky Stanmore side.
Division One leaders, Hills Brumbies, will be confident of three points at Second Ponds Oval as they entertain UNSW.
Having given up two points with literally the last kick of the game last weekend, Hills will be looking for a 90 minute focus from their players against a UNSW side who have not won in the last four matches, and will be desperate for a victory.
Having finally broken their drought with a maiden win last weekend, Hurstville ZFC will be looking for more of the same at Hurstville Oval at 3-00pm on Sunday when Balmain SC are the visitors.
Balmain are in a real rut at the moment, and will need nothing less than three points if they are to keep tabs with teams in the upper half of the ladder.
Camden Tigers visit Magdala Park on Sunday at 3-00pm to take on a resurgent Gladesville Ryde Magic.
The Magic, promoted into Division One this season, have found their feet of late with two wins and a draw in the last four matches, and will be a tough proposition for Camden in front of the avid Magic fans.
The battle of the Lions will take place at Norford Park on Sunday at 3-00pm, with Fairfield City tackling Inter.
Both teams were on the wrong end of surprise losses last weekend to the bottom two sides, and will be ready to rebound from that in a match that promises plenty of goals.
