Premier Youth League Round 21 Review

While some of the Premierships have already been decided and some of the places in the finals series have been determined, there is still quite a lot for others to play for and that will make this weekend very interesting indeed.
What is certain is that every single team has made a significant contribution to the very high standard of this season?s competitions and so every one of them deserves to take a bow for helping to make this a memorable year.
Overview
Marconi Stallions had taken thirteen points from Rockdale City Suns when they met in the first round but the Stallions upped the ante this time when they bagged all fifteen points.
Manly United had earned nine of the points when they last faced Sutherland Sharks but on this occasion the clubs shared the spoils at seven points apiece.
This week Sydney Olympic grabbed twelve points from their matches against Bonnyrigg White Eagles and that repeated the outcome of their clash in the first round.
West Sydney Berries had pocketed twelve points from their first round encounter with South Coast Wolves but the Wolves turned the tables this week when they took ten points from the encounter.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers showed a profit of nine points when they met Bankstown City in the first round but the Lions took their revenge this week when they earned eight of the available points.
Grade 13
Competition leaders Marconi Stallions were 12-0 winners when they faced thirteenth placed Rockdale City Suns last time and while the second round victory was still hefty, the Stallions had to settle for a 5-0 result this week.
Second placed West Sydney Berries had won the first round clash with seventh placed South Coast Wolves with a 2-0 scoreline and it turned out to that the Berries took the points this week with exactly the same score.
Third placed Sydney Olympic had posted a 5-1 victory when they saw Bonnyrigg White Eagles in the first round and they grabbed the points again this week, this time with a 4-1 result.
Manly United are fourth after they recorded a 2-1 success over sixth placed Sutherland Sharks and that repeated the scoreline the northern beaches outfit had achieved in the first round.
When fifth placed Blacktown City faced eighth placed Sydney United in the first round the result was a 202 draw but the Demons took all the points this time when they were 2-0 winners.
United added three points to their tally when they came up with a 2-0 win over Project 22 who they had beaten by the same score in the first round.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers are in tenth position after they battled out a 1-1 draw with ninth placed Bankstown City who the Tigers had beaten 2-1 in the first round encounter.
Grade 14
Blacktown City are leading the way on the table thanks to their 2-1 Sydney United who they had overcome with a 3-0 scoreline when the teams met in the first round.
United increased they tally by three points when they were 2-0 victors over thirteenth placed Project 22 who had lost the first round clash with United by exactly the same scoreline.

Third placed Manly United had been held to a 1-1 first round draw by sixth placed Sutherland Sharks and there was some more bad news for the lads from the northern beaches as the Sharks took all the points this time with a 1-0 result
Sydney Olympic are in fourth position following their 1-0 victory over eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles and that completed the double for Olympic as they were 2-1 winners in the first round.
West Sydney Berries are fifth after they battled out a scoreless draw with ninth placed South Coast Wolves who the Berries had beaten 2-1 last time around.
Seventh placed Bankstown City were held to a scoreless draw by tenth placed APIA Leichhardt Tigers after the Lions had taken the first round points with a 1-0 result.
Grade 15

Sutherland Sharks are in second spot following their 1-0 victory over fifth placed Manly United who had taken the first round points with a 3-0 scoreline.
Third placed Sydney Olympic were 2-0 winners over thirteenth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles in their first round clash and Olympic bagged the points again this week with a 3-0 result.
Bankstown City are fourth thanks to their 2-0 win over seventh placed APIA Leichhardt Tigers who the Lions had beaten by exactly the same scoreline when they met in the first round.
Sixth placed Blacktown City posted a very respectable 4-0 result over tenth placed Sydney United who had taken the first round points when they were 2-1 winners.
United did not have much joy over the weekend as they suffered a 2-0 loss to eleventh placed Project 22 after the first round match ended up a 2-2.
Eighth placed South Coast Wolves grabbed the points from ninth placed West Sydney Berries with a 2-1 result, reversing the first round outcome when the Berries were 2-1 winners.
Grade 16
Competition leaders Sutherland Sharks were held to a scoreless draw by second placed Manly United and that repeated the outcome of the first round clash.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers are in third position after they produced a 5-2 victory over twelfth placed Bankstown City and that completed the double for the Tigers as they were 5-0 winners the first time around.
Fourth placed Sydney Olympic came up with a 2-0 victory over tenth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles who had gone down 3-0 to Olympic last time they saw each other.
Sydney United are fifth after they were 1-0 winners over sixth placed Blacktown City after the Demons had taken the first round points with a win by the odd goal in five.
Seventh placed South Coast Wolves produced a solid 4-0 success over ninth placed West Sydney Berries who had posted a 4-1 first round victory.
Marconi Stallions are eighth following their 1-0 result over eleventh placed Rockdale City Suns and that completes the double for the Stallions as they had claimed the first round points with exactly the same scoreline.
Grade 18
Competition frontrunners Bonnyrigg White Eagles had registered a 3-2 first round win over ninth placed Sydney Olympic and the White Eagles went on with the job this week when they were 1-0 winners.
South Coast Wolves are in second spot after they produced a 2-0 victory over eighth placed West Sydney Berries who the Wolves had defeated 4-0 last time they met.
Sutherland Sharks are placed third after they suffered a 2-0 loss to fourth placed Manly United after the teams had split the first round spoils with a 1-1 draw.
Marconi Stallions are in fifth position thanks to their 3-0 triumph over twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns who the Stallions had beaten by exactly the same scoreline in the first round.
Tenth placed APIA Leichhardt Tigers had beaten eleventh placed Bankstown City 6-0 when they faced off last time but this week the Lions squared the ledger when they won 4-2.
