The Hon. Tony Abbott, Leader of the Opposition made the announcement at a press conference at Pluim Park on Sunday afternoon.
The upgrade will enable the Central Coast Football Club to improve its facilities and increase the number of sports and games available to the community.
The Central Coast will benefit from a comprehensive regional sports complex that will be a centre for sporting and community groups, encourage people to participate in sport and will be a world-class facility for attracting sporting events to the central coast.
The Coalition will provide $2 million to upgrade and reconstruct four playing fields at Pluim Park so that the grounds are up to professional standard.  This includes properly designed drainage systems and soil resurfacing on the fields.
The Coalition will also provide an additional $900,000 for the redevelopment of amenities blocks, meeting rooms, car park and the grandstand.  It will also fund the development of a master plan for Pluim Park.  The plan will cover the development of future sporting opportunities and infrastructure at Pluim Park and will ensure that environmental standards are appropriately maintained.
Funding of $100,000 will also be provided for water management at Pluim Park, including access to recycled, bore and storm water, as well as for the implementation of sustainable water practices at the site.
Mr Darren Sprod, Central Coast Football Chairman added ?Central Coast Football welcomes the delivery of this funding from the Coalition if elected. The upgrade of Pluim Park will increase the availability of the facility to the Central Coast community?.
