“You?re marking Maradona”

It happened to me in 1993 over 2 legs, one at the Sydney Football Stadium and then again at the River Plate Stadium in Argentina.
It was my job to stop the greatest player ever to play the game.
That?s scary when you think that I wasn?t good enough to play junior representative football, play for the State Team or go to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). It wasn?t until I turned 23 that somebody thought that I was.
My job marking Maradona was to cram 14 years of football playing experience into 90 minutes, twice.
It?s those experiences and more that I?d like to share with your club/association players and supporters.
Using all the football shirts I?ve swapped from around the world I have a visual presentation that brings both new and old stories to life.
It?s funny, sad, nerve-racking and if you want, motivational. I cover skills such as respect, planning, setting goals, teamwork, the importance of practice, dealing with adversity (I had brain surgery) and dealing with disappointment to name just a few.
All will be tailored to suit your occasion i.e. season openers, training nights, functions and Presentation nights etc etc.
Offer your sponsors the naming rights and let?s all get together at your club and have a ball.
