Football NSW Futsal F-League set for May kick-off
The first round of the competition will commence on the 14th and 15th of May 2011, the F-League will be the first Futsal competition to play under full international conditions since National League ventures of the 1990s.
The F-League will consist of an open male competition and will feature the following teams:
Inner City FC (VIC)
Boomerangs F.S (ACT)
Dural Warriors (NSW)
Maccabi Hakoah Futsal Club (NSW)
St Albans Strikers Futsal Club (VIC)
Parramatta Blues (NSW)
The competition will consist of three series which will be played out of three different venues, please find dates and venues below,
Series One- Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium, 16 Stewart St, South Windsor NSW
Saturday 14/05/2011 and Sunday 15/05/2011
Series Two- Sydney Academy Of Sport, Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen NSW
Saturday 25/06/2011 and Sunday 26/06/2011
Series Three- Venue to be confirmed
Saturday 23/07/2011 and 24/07/2011
Football Federation Australia has endorsed the F-League and recognize the benefits for Futsal players playing all year round.
The F-League will be played on an International sized court and game will consist of twenty-five minute halves.
This competition is expected to become the development pathway for Futsal players to progress to state and national team honors in NSW.
