Merimbula Under 11-12-13 Boys Country Cup
Venue: Berrambool Sporting Complex, Merimbula
The Berrambool Sporting Complex in lovely Merimbula was the place to be as the Under 11, 12 and 13 Boys Country Cup took place across the Queens Birthday Long weekend.
Riverina reigned supreme across all three grades as they  claimed all the plaudits in what was a weekend that belonged to Riverina.
From all reports the weather was fantastic as was the football with a number of future young stars on a show.
But the weekend belonged to Riverina who collectively as a group, pooled together and reaped the benefits clean sweeping the tournament in all three age groups.
Bathurst Under 14-15-16 Boys Country Cup
Venue: Proctor Park, Bathurst
Bathurst District Football Association hosted the Under 14 -15 -16 Boys Country Cup over the June long weekend.
The weather held out, despite it being very chilly, for some very quality football.
Each of the three country associations took out a Country Title.
The Under 16 Boys, despite Southern Branches withdrawal was the showpiece of the weekend. Two very hard fought games were played with some competitive spirit saw Albury-Wodonga (Riverina) edge out Bathurst (Western) 1-0 and 1-1 over two legs.
The second game saw Albury-Wodonga come from behind.
The Under 14 Boys went down to the last game of the Cup for that age group with Dubbo (Western) earning a 1-1 draw against Griffith (Riverina) to claim their first Country Cup.
The leader in the Under 15 Boys changed hands over the two days but ultimately Highlands (Southern) did enough to edge out Albury-Wodonga (Riverina).
Riverina Under 12-14-16 Girls Country Cup
Venue: Mitchell Cup, Cootamundra
South West Slopes Soccer Association in conjunction with the Cootamundra FC hosted the Under 12-14-16 Girls Country Cup over the weekend in what was a fantastic weekend of football.
Riverina proved to be the superior branch taking out the Under 12 and Under 14 competition but it was Western Branch who took out the honours being crowned Champions in the Grade 16 competition.
The Under 12?s saw Riverina too good for the rest of the competition smashing Western Branch 10-1 and 4-1 before defeating Southern Branch 3-0 and 2-0.
The Under 14?s again saw the might of Riverina power through with a 6-0 and 1-0 victory over Western Branch and a 3-1 and 9-0 win over Southern Branch to grab the title.
The Under 16?s saw Western Branch the champions as they defeated Riverina 4-3 and 4-1 and Southern Branch 5-1 and 5-1.
