2013 Inaugural Bryson Anderson Memorial Football Gala Day ready to launch
Bryson was the manager of the Colo U13/3s last year and a leading member of the NSW Police Force before his life was so tragically cut short in the line of duty.
The event pays tribute to a great man and supporter of Special Olympics, a proud Law Enforcement Torch Run supporter, dedicated Police Office and man who was passionate about football.
Support is coming from all parts of the community.
The BAMFGD has been endorsed by the FFA, FNSW, Western Sydney Wanderers, Nepean DSFA, Nepean DSRA, NSW Law Enforcement Torch Run, NSW Police, RAAF as well as local councils.
The day gives all amateur clubs the chance for a last pre-season hit-out in a round robin format and at the same time raise much needed monies for Bryson’s Memorial Fund and Special Olympics NSW.
Team registrations are filling fast.
There are six age groups – U12 Girls, U14 Boys, U16 Boys, Senior Men, Senior Women and Men’s O35s. Junior team registration is $400 (minimum of four games) while Senior registration is $500 (minimum of three games).
Its 11-a-side on full size fields!
Western Sydney Wanderers will be involved just a day after they play away to the Newcastle Jets while injured Central Coast Mariner Adam Kwasnik and former team-mate Brad Porter have also confirmed their attendance along with some special football identities who will be taking part in the NSW Police-RAAF Celebrity game.
So if you are looking for that last opportunity for some pre-season fitness and team bonding here is the perfect chance.
