The annual tournament featured 16 teams from 9 countries in addition to Asian, European, South American and African teams that competed in this highly prestigious tournament.
NSW’s first game was against Japanese side Miyagi which ended up in a 1-1 draw.
Defeats followed in the remaining games despite Football NSW Institute’s Marley Peterson scoring in a 3-1 loss against eventual third place winner and Russian side Chertanovo.
