Macarthur set the tone for the day with a strong 4-0 victory against Bankstown before Blacktown continued the glut of goals by outclassing Sutherland 7-0.
Sydney University was another side to secure a big opening win when they defeated Nepean 6-0 while St George went down to NWS Koalas 4-0 and Manly Warringah beat Western Branch 5-0.
The final two matches of day one saw a 3-0 triumph for Sutherland Shire against Gladesville Ravens as Northbridge held on 2-0 against Parramatta Ladyhawks.
