Football stars of past and present provided an opportunity of a lifetime for the NSW boys Country State Team on Monday.
Former Australian World Cup player, AC Milan goalkeeper and current FNSW SAP Goalkeeping coach Zeljko Kalac as well as Sydney FC defender Rhyan Grant met with the side of regional players at Macqurie University.
A former Country state player himself, Grant reminded the regional based side that they too can take their football career further despite not living in the city.
FNSW State Technical Director and Former Socceroo Alex Tobin was also in attendance and believed the advice offered by Kalac and Grant would help inspire the players to greater things.
“The Country boys picked up plenty of tips and I could tell they are now hungrier to achieve their goal of becoming a professional footballer,” Tobin said.
“It was a great experience for all Involved.
“Thank you to Sydney FC for giving up their time during their preseason training.”
