IGA NPL NSW Grade 20s Finals Series Week 1 Preview

After the drama of round 22, the real business starts in Week 1 of the finals.
A Blacktown derby on Saturday and APIA-Leichhardt Tigers vs Rockdale City Suns are on the menu, for what will be a high-quality weekend of football.
SATURDAY
Blacktown Spartans vs Blacktown City, 4.30pm at Blacktown Football Park
Blacktown Spartans secured fourth place with a win against Sydney United 58 FC last weekend, whilst Blacktown City gained fifth place by thrashing Manly United.
It means a Blacktown Derby is on the cards for the first week of the finals.
These two sides clashed a few weeks ago in the Round 21 Match of the Round, drawing 1-1 and their subsequent results have set up this encounter for Saturday afternoon.
SUNDAY
Rockdale City Suns vs APIA-Leichhardt Tigers, 1pm at Sydney United Sports Centre
Second plays third on Sunday afternoon as Rockdale City Suns “host” APIA-Leichhardt Tigers.
The match will be played at Sydney United Sports Centre.
These two sides played in the Round 20 Match of the Round, where a late, long-range free kick from Josh Basara won the match for APIA-Leichhardt.
They beat Sydney Olympic last weekend to hold on to third place, whilst Rockdale City beat Sutherland Sharks to stay a point ahead of APIA-Leichhardt in second.
