Spartans add Miller and Barkhousir to its 2014 roster
IGA National Premier Leagues NSW Mens 1 side Blacktown Spartans FC are pleased to announce the signings of former Blacktown City attacking player Ray Miller and former Sydney Olympic striker Elsid Barkhousir for the new season.
Blacktown Spartans Director of Football and operations John Todd and 1st Grade Coach Ben deHaan mapped out a plan to bring some quality attacking players to the club.
Todd explained that these two first signings were just the start in the club’s plans to go one step further in 2014.
“Whilst we defended well in season 2013, we could not produce at the other end and the need for some quality attacking players was paramount for season 2014.
“Bringing players of the calibre of Elsid and Ray to the club is very exciting and marks the first of many signings Spartans will be announcing over the coming weeks.
“We have been fortunate to secure some quality players to the club and look forward to moving up the ladder and being more than competitive in our third season in the top flight of the IGA National Premier Leagues NSW Mens 1 competition.”
