As the Football NSW Powerchair Football team prepares to compete at the 2013 APFA National Championship, on the 16th, 17th & 19th October at the Kevin Betts Stadium, Ralph Place Mt Druitt in Sydney NSW, It is with great pleasure that Football NSW announces partnership with Power Football Australia (NSW).
Powerchair football is one of the fastest growing sports for powered wheelchair users around the globe. A competitive, challenging team game, powerchair football combines the skill of the wheelchair user with the speed and power of the chair itself. Powerchair Football is a competitive team sport designed for participants with quadriplegia, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, head trauma, stroke, spinal cord injury and other disabilities.
Power Football Australia (PFA) is the governing body of Powerchair football in New South Wales and promotes the sport to players, referees and coaches alike. It is PFA’s mission and hope that all persons who use electric wheelchairs will have the opportunity to play and experience Powerchair Football.
For further information and to support the Football NSW Powerchair Football team as they take on Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and New Zealand at Kevin Betts Stadium, please visit the Football4All page under the Game Development tab on the Football NSW Website.
