Mudgee was caught up in Football fever as Macquarie Sports alongside Football NSW conducted its first Football Super Clinic at Cudgegong Public School on Wednesday 30 October.

Over 400 students participated in a series of drills and games throughout the day with support from qualified Football NSW coaches and Sydney FC W-League player, Renee Rollason.

Renee has been a consistent performer in the W-League for the last 5 years and enjoyed the experience of taking the game to Country NSW.

“Being a country girl myself, it’s great to be able to bring the game to these areas and get kids involved in football.

“It is something we are looking to do more of and the support of Macquarie Bank Group has helped make clinics like this possible”.

Macquarie Sports Manager Chris McKenzie was delighted with the Football Super Clinic and the fantastic turnout at Mudgee.

“Macquarie Sports is all about providing sporting opportunities to children across the community. We were really pleased to host over 400 children at the Mudgee clinic and it was great to see them having so much fun with their class mates while learning new skills and being active at the same time.”

Macquarie Sports, which is part of the Macquarie Group’s philanthropic arm, is supporting Football NSW in bringing the game to students in Mudgee and other areas of New South Wales.
