Football NSW stages Conference on the Game
The scene was set at the SCG as representatives from Associations, Branches, Standing Committees, National Premier League and State League clubs as well as the FFA took part in Football NSW’s inaugural Conference on the Game on Saturday 9th November.
In what was a fantastic turnout, 160 delegates came together from all parts of the football community and shared Football NSW’s combined vision and strategies for the game as the organisation looked towards the 2014 season.
The day also tackled particular issues, projects and matters as well as having the chance to hear from the entire football family.
Official presentations from FFA CEO David Gallop, FFA Chief Operating Officer, Local Organising Committee AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 Mark Falvo and Football NSW CEO Eddie Moore welcomed the event and paid tribute to what was a solid 2013 season.
“It was a landmark day for the sport in NSW.
“While we are looking ahead to 2014 and beyond, the opportunity to engage, connect and share ideas is central to the evolving journey football is taking as we look to continually grow, develop and further promote the game to all our participants.”
Following the event, representatives soaked in the sights and sounds at Allianz Stadium in what was a thrilling game of football as Sydney FC defeated the Melbourne Victory 3-2 topping off a memorable Conference on the Game.
