Position Vacant – Chief Executive Officer (CDSFA)

The Canterbury & District Soccer Football Association is advertising for a Chief Executive Officer to ensure the Association is positioned as a contemporary sporting organisation delivering football to the community within its boundaries.
The role will be responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations of the Association and enhancing its standing with a range of other organisations with emphasis on local governement.
The appointee will likely have a passion for football with an understanding of the structures within the sport.
The position will report to the Board of Directors of the Association.
Essential Skills & Experience:

• Extensive working knowledge of the Sport Industry, with an emphasis on football.
• Have had at least five (5) years professional experience at either regional, state or national level in a senior management role on a fulltime basis.
• Sound understanding and extensive experience in managing staff and a large contingent of volunteers.
• Experience in communicating to a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience in the management and utilisation of limited resources.
• Customer service focus and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in event management.
• Experience in dealing with media.
• Understanding of the role of the Board of Directors and Management of a sporting organisation.
• Company Secretary experience in a professional environment.

Essential qualifications:

• Diploma or degree qualification in Sports related discipline.
• Qualification in corporate governance.
• Standing with a professional Directors organisation.

Salary:
