Round 12 Review – PS4 NPL NSW Men’s
State football history was centre stage during Round 12 of the PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition for Heritage round.
It was a big weekend for Sydney United 58 who secured its sport at the top of the table while a bounce back performance for Bonnyrigg gave a much needed confidence boost for the White Eagles.

Sydney United 58 1 – Blacktown City 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre
It an edge of the seat battle at Sydney United Sports Centre as United 58 clung onto top spot with a 1-0 win against Blacktown City.
A 62nd minute strike to Yutaro Shin was the difference as United 58 was rewarded for a tough defensive effort and a man of the match performance from goal keeper Thomas Manos.
Blacktown had its chances but Manos was in incredible form to shutout the imposing City attack and ensure Mark Rudan’s team took all three points from the match.
Saturday
Sutherland Sharks 1 – Manly United FC 3 at Seymour Shaw
A Dejan Pandurevic double has helped Manly United to a 3-1 PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s victory against Sutherland Sharks at Seymour Shaw on Saturday.
A strike in each half from Pandurevic, combined with a third minute goal to Richie Cardozo gifted all three points to Paul Dee’s men despite a spirited performance from the Sharks.
Callum Fitzpatrick’s 56th minute goal was merely consolation for the home side in a match dominated by Manly.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles 4 – Rockdale City Suns 2 at Bonnyrigg Sports Club
A Ray Miller-inspired Bonnyrigg White Eagles returned to winning ways as they prevailed 4-2 over Rockdale City Suns in a see-sawing PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash at Bonnyrigg Sports Club.
Goals from Bo Hyun-Chun and skipper David Vrankovic saw the hosts’ race to a dominant 2-0 lead after an impressive first-half showing but the White Eagles surrendered their advantage in disastrous fashion when Rockdale restored parity midway through the second stanza through Alexsandar Canak and Toufic Alameddine.
But the pendulum swung once more in an engrossing Heritage Round affair with Miller edging Bonnyrigg back in front with a gorgeous curling strike before Robbie Younis came off the bench to add a match-sealing fourth after a calamitous error from Rockdale gloveman David Bradasevic.
Hakoah Sydney City East 1 – Wollongong Wolves 1 at Hensley Athletic Field
Hakoah Sydney City East and Wollongong Wolves shared the spoils after an engrossing 1-1 draw at Hensley Athletic Field on Saturday
Hakoah dominated the match but couldn’t find the back of the net until the 60th minute when Lee Jones opened the scoring.
The home side looked to have secured all three points until the late send-off of Dylan Walker allowed the Wolves to equalise from the ensuing free-kick.
Replacement Stefan Dimoski forced the ball into the net much to the joy of his teammates and opposition heartbreak.
Sunday
Sydney Olympic 3 – APIA Leichhardt at Belmore Sports Ground
A rampant second half display by Sydney Olympic has guided them to a dominant 3-1 victory against APIA Leichhardt Tigers during their PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s Heritage Round clash at Belmore Sports Ground.
Goals to Jacob Boutoubia, Harris Gaitatzis and Oliver Green cancelled out Nathan Elasi’s first half opener in a game of two halves.
APIA were unable to maintain its early domination and was muscled out of the match in the second stanza by Olympic who dominated the second 45 mins of the match.
The result adds further misery to APIA Leichhardt Tigers who remain languishing in second last position.
Parramatta FC 3 – Blacktown Spartans 1 at Melita Stadium
Parramatta FC has added another moment to its proud history with a 3-1 win over Blacktown Spartans at Melita Stadium during its PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s Heritage Round clash.
Goals to Josh Symons, Luke Grima and Marco Sama were enough for the Franco Consentino coached side to overcome Blacktown who hit the back of the net through Anthony Proia.
It was another tough result for the visitors who have only tasted victory twice this season and sit at the bottom of the table after twelve rounds.
