Premier competition kicks off at Blacktown this weekend
The 2017 Blacktown & Districts Soccer Football Association (BDSFA) Premier League season kicks-off this weekend with defending First Grade Champions Doonside Hawks away to Glenwood Redbacks whilst 2016 Runners-Up Marayong FC are at home to Ropes Crossing Strikers.
With Round 3 of the Westfield FFA Cup being played this weekend, some Premier League fixtures will be played on Sunday.
BDSFA has a strong representation in the Westfield FFA Cup with 9 Clubs playing in this prestigious competition.
Participating in the Westfield FFA Cup has given some Clubs a hectic start to the season with some having to play two games over the weekend whilst other Clubs are playing their Westfield FFA Cup match as a midweek fixture.
However, with all Clubs having fit playing rosters at the start of the season they should be able to manage this frantic and exciting start to the season.
BDSFA Chairman, Mr. Glen Overton is looking forward to seeing the BDSFA’s marquee competition starting this weekend.
“All players and coaches have worked hard over the pre-season with this weekend in mind.
“The 2017 Premier League competition is of a high standing and supporters will be treated to some great matches in what will be a highly entertaining season.”
