APIA Leichhardt Tigers flew the Football NSW flag proudly in what were chilly conditions at KGV Park in Tasmania putting Tasmanian NPL First Division side Olympia FC Warriors to the sword with a 5-0 round of 32 Westfield FFA Cup victory.

Danial Cummins’ side were simply a class above and it was one of the PlayStation4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s in-form players in Sean Symons who grabbed all the headlines bagging a memorable hat-trick while captain David D’Apuzzo and Japanese Tasuku Sekiya also got on the scorer’s list in the former NSL clubs emphatic victory.

It was APIA’s second successive 5-0 victory in a matter of days as they defeated Manly United last Saturday at Lambert Park with the same scoreline putting the club in a positive mood coming into their round 21 cracking top of the table clash against current league leaders Blacktown City FC at Lily Homes Stadium this Sunday (3pm).

APIA Leichhardt Tigers now join Hakoah Sydney City East as well as the Bankstown Berries in the round of 16 of the Westfield FFA Cup with the hope that Blacktown City can cause an upset over the Central Coast Mariners tomorrow night (Wednesday) as well as Sydney United 58 flexing its muscles over their opponents Far North Queensland Heat next Wednesday at Sydney United Sports Centre.
