The 2017/2018 Football NSW Institute squads including coaches for the upcoming NPL NSW Women’s top tier competition has officially been announced.
Continuing on with the constant development and ever evolving of the women’s game in NSW, the Football NSW Institute continues to deliver the best practice development opportunities for the State’s most talented players.
This has proved time and time again with the number of talented Football NSW Institute girls going onto represent Australia as Young Matildas and Westfield Matildas.
Recently appointed coach Gary Van Egmond will oversee the entire program as he commences his new role as Football NSW’s Head of Elite Football Development and Education.
Van Egmond will oversee high performance and talented player programs such as the Football NSW Institute as well as mentoring coaching staff and establishing a network of coach developers in creating a system where clubs are the focus with Football NSW supporting and guiding their endevours.
In what promises to be a huge season for everyone involved with the program from the 13 Girls right through to the U17’s, rest assured, there will most certainly be more names to follow in the footsteps of former Football NSW Institute alumni such as Kyah Simon, Ellie Carpenter, Chloe Logarzo, Princess Ibini and current Under 17’s keeper Jada Whyman to name a few.
