It was a night for all to shine on Monday as the Australia Pararoos premiered their behind-the-scenes documentary of the team’s 2017 IFCP World Championships campaign in Argentina held at the Carriageworks in front of 350 guests where they raised money and awareness for the national side.
A film produced by Tom Ferguson showcased the side’s triumphant journey to the world stage, as well as the numerous obstacles which the team endured, including the Australian Sports Commission withdrawing their funding for the team in 2015.
The night hosted a abundance of guest speakers including FFA CEO David Gallop, Pararoos captain David Barber, former Socceroo Mark Bosnich with performances by Issac Main, Young Franco & Purple Sneakers Dj’s, with the night all brought together by MC Stephanie Brantz.
Football NSW Chief Executive Officer Stuart Hodge was one keen observer on the evening, heaped praise on the incredible journey the Pararoos have this far endured and enjoyed the documentary thoroughly.
“The Pararoos documentary is an inspiring story of overcoming obstacles to achieve success.
“I encourage everyone to support the Pararoos by making a donation as they play a vital role in the development of our game across the nation.”
The film received a well deserved standing ovation by all in attendance with Pararoos players past and present making the night a huge success.
