A Picnic In the Park for Asquith Soccer Club

The sandwiches were wrapped, chips and dips selected, and the picnic was ready for the Asquith Soccer Club’s Picnic Park event held at the association’s home ground on the 17th of June 2018.

With the association hosting numerous home ground fixtures within various age groups, it proved to be the perfect time of the season to invite juniors to come and support there older age sides with their family and friends. The event brought families together, with activities for the children including a jumping castle as well as soccer activities run by the skills development department from their local association, Northern Suburbs Football Association.

Football NSW Development Officer Kevin Amaya, alongside Cameron Whitton were invited along to the event, to assist with the day’s ALDI MiniRoos activations and both felt the initiative by the club was welcomed by all

“Asquith Soccer Club are a fine example of a club that continuously looks for ways to provide the best footballing experience for their members and their ALDI MiniRoos participants! It’s great to see them working overtime during the busy time surrounding the FIFA World Cup.”
