Football NSW announced matches for its exciting Futsal Cup as presented by Indoor 5’s for both men and women with Round 1 showcasing some interesting match-ups between SELECT Futsal Premier League and Premier League 2 outfits.

The format of the prestigious knockout competition which was introduced in 2017 where the Dural Warriors won the Women’s competition and Inner West Magic taking out the Men’s will feature identical matches for both knockout competitions for 2018.

To kick start the Futsal Cup, the opener has been viewed as an absolute cracker taking place on Tuesday October 16 as the Enfield Allstars take on the Inner West Magic.

The women’s match will feature the Magic wanting to do one better this year after the team lost in the quarter-finals of the Cup last year to eventual winners Dural while the Allstars were knocked out in the first round to Quake – both teams are hoping for better successes this year with the Magic of course current 2017/18 Futsal Premier League Champions.

The men’s encounter will see the Magic looking to back up their achievement taking out the inaugural Futsal Cup Championship where they will face a hungry Allstars outfit who will be participating in their first ever Futsal Cup.

In other matches, Boomerangs FS will face Raiders Futsal.

The women’s clash will see the Canberra based side challenging a motivated Raiders outfit who will be participating in their first ever Futsal Cup. While it will be a competitive match up in the men’s as the Boomerangs FS made the semi-finals last season – both teams have already played in Round 1 of the SELECT Futsal Premier League 2 competition with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Dural Warriors will look towards getting its second successive women’s Futsal Cup honours and their journey will take off when they battle Eastern Suburbs Hakoah Futsal Club while it will be a hotly contested men’s encounter with Dural going in as favourites.

The other interesting fixture will see the Mascot Vipers going toe to toe against the SD Raiders.

The Vipers are still reeling from the 2017 Futsal Cup loss to the Warriors and will use this match as a stepping stone towards getting to the big dance while it will be a 2017 Futsal Cup Round 1 rematch in the men’s with the SD Raiders hoping to replicate their 4-2 win over their opponents.
