Wreck Bay Football Club in partnership with Football NSW, will once again present the Annual National Indigenous Football Championships for 2019 at South Nowra Football Complex.
Known for being the largest Indigenous Football Championships in Australia, the event brings together Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities from across Australia to compete within this annual competition.
Football NSW will be making their way South on Wednesday the 30th of October, to once again to be a part of this inclusive event, with the team hosting school clinic in anticipation for this year’s tournament.
The team will cater to 150 students from local public schools surrounding the Nowra region, who will participate in a ALDI MiniRoos style sessions. The students through their participation, will be taught fundamentals skills involved within football.
Football NSW coaches and staff will be joined by the likes of Jade North from ‘Kickin with a Cuz,’ as well as National Premier League NSW Men’s Premiership Coach & Ex Socceroo Luke Wilkshire and his Wollongong Wolves staff.
Tournament Director Bernie McLeod is excited to have Football NSW be a part of the NIFC for 2019, and also spoke of the importance these clinic’s will play in the success of the tournament.
‘The kids that participate in the clinic get an opportunity to learn grassroots football skills, playing alongside some of the nations greatest players such as Jade and Luke ‘
The NIFC will kick-off on Wednesday the 30th of October, and will conclude on Saturday the 2nd of November 2019.
