TAFE NSW Summer Football has been alive and kicking as Northern Suburbs FA’s Berowra FC have found out since kicking it off to its fifty-five plus participants in idyllic Cowan this season.
Playing competitive round robin matches, the small but ever-growing centre has been set alight with summer football loving, giving players the chance to engage in the round ball game all year round.
Berowra FC Club President Brad Rayner has been pleased with how the Summer Football competition has kicked off.
“As a community club that is built around mate-ship the Summer Football competition is important to us as it’s gives our senior players the opportunity to play all year round.
“Summer football is more of a social competition and provides players from different squads to play with each other and for non-winter players to come along and enjoy a social game.”
Berowra FC’s Club registrar Trevor Huxley echoed Rayner’s sentiments on the ever growing and popular initiative.
“We would like to thank TAFE for their continued support of Summer Football especially with the bibs and balls, this helps out with kit clashes as well as balls lost into the bush.
