Willis Park is next to get the Around the Grounds Football NSW treatment as Macarthur Football Association side Burragorang District SC lay claim to running the show at the neat facility.
A quiet and tranquil football pitch situated in Oakdale, the facility itself is equipped with seating, BBQ Area, playground, toilet facilities, car park, picnic area as well as floodlighting up to 100 lux on the main field.
The Burragorang District SC is based in the villages on the edge of the beautiful Burragorang Valley.
Drawing its players and members from the villages of The Oaks, Oakdale, Mt Hunter, Nattai, Belimbla Park and the surrounding areas, it is a small but active club committed to developing the game of football.
The club also had a former Young Socceroo grace the Wills Park facility namely Evan Berger.
Those who remember Berger not only represented the Young Socceroos but played for the likes of the Macarthur Rams, Parramatta Eagles, Marconi Stallions, AIS and then went onto play A-League football with the Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory.
Burragorang District SC was Berger’s first ever registered football side with the club fittingly putting together an ‘Evan Berger Rising Star Award’ in honour of their star player following the former clubman’s success.
