Football NSW’s State Cup Matches Announced

The wait is finally over as Football NSW has officially announced the 2021 Match Schedule for this year’s State Cup as the successful knockout grassroots competition returns once again following a year off due to COVID-19 in 2020 with as many as 644 teams registered with the hope of playing in the Finals on Sunday 25th of July at Valentine Sports Park.

In what will be one of the most exciting State Cups yet, nineteen Associations across NSW including Bankstown Football Association, Bathurst Football Association, Blacktown & District Soccer Football Association, Canterbury & District Soccer Football Association, Central Coast Football , Dubbo & District Football Association, Eastern Suburbs Football Association, Football South Coast, Football St George, Granville & District Soccer Football Association, Griffith & District Football Association, Hills Football, Macarthur & District Football Association, Manly Warringah Football Association, Nepean Football Association, North West Sydney Football Ltd, Northern Suburbs Football Association, Southern Districts Soccer Football Association and Sutherland Shire Football Association will all have club representatives from age groups ranging from the 12 Boys and Girls right through to the Over 35 Men and All Age Women with all roads leading to the 2021 State Cup Finals at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday 25th of July.

Long serving Football NSW Competitions Coordinator Kim Burge was looking forward to a huge year ahead for the tournament.

“The hype for this year’s State Cup tournament is like no other after we postponed the event in 2020 due to COVID.

“Clubs and Associations are raring to go and we cannot wait to see the action and excitement that one of our showpiece grassroots tournaments brings together this year.”

Preliminary round matches involving All Age Men’s only have been set for the 2nd of May while Round 1 matches involving AAM, 12, 13, 14, 15 16 Boys, 18’s and 21 Men and All Age Women take shape from the 16th of May with Round 2 games featuring 17 Boys, Over 35 Men, 12, 14, 16 Girls and 18 Women have been penned in from the 30th of May with this draw set to be released on the 19th of May.
