The 2021 Waratah Cup Finals pathway matches have been announced following the conclusion of the FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds on Wednesday evening as the official draw took place at Football NSW Headquarters today.

The official draw was completed as the historic NSW Cup, which was won by Marconi Stallions in 2019 with a 2-1 victory over Marconi Stallions at Lily Homes Stadium, is dominated by National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clubs APIA Leichhardt, Blacktown City, Sydney Olympic, Mt Druitt Town Rangers and the Wollongong Wolves.

The Cup took a break in 2020 due to COVID, but has been reintroduced with five teams going head-to-head in a bid to win this year’s first piece of silverware in NSW.

2019 NPL Finals Series Champions Wollongong Wolves received an automatic spot in the Waratah Cup finals following their direct qualification into the FFA Cup’s Round of 32 and therefore were also given the right to host the Elimination Waratah Cup Final match.

In a crunch game, the Wolves drew APIA Leichhardt who will be traveling to the South Coast midweek to win the right to contest in the Waratah Cup Semi-Final with the winner having a home tie against the Mt Druitt Town Rangers.

In the Cup’s other semi-final clash, it will be a mouth-watering affair as Sydney Olympic entertain Blacktown City.

Football NSW would like to acknowledge Deploy Football, the official ball sponsors of the Waratah Cup.
